In Pick Me Academy, medical assistance is provided throughout the day, thus ensuring a healthy and safe environment. The medical assistant will remain in the location throughout the duration of the program to ensure permanent support for the children. The nurses also receive support from the school doctor, who intervenes every time the situation requires it.
All classrooms are equipped with UV-C sterilization equipment that works during the night, equipment that is 99.99% effective against viruses, bacteria and molds in the air, general surfaces and objects.
At Pick Me Academy, treatments for flu, colds, contagious diseases or other diseases that require antibiotic administration are not administered. If the child is being treated with antibiotics, he will stay at home until it is finished.
Morning triage
Every morning, upon arrival at the kindergarten, the children will be checked by the nurse in the following areas:
- Skin – if there is a possible eruption;
- Nails – they must be cut and cleaned;
- Scalp – especially in the area behind the ears and the back of the neck;
- Oral cavity and pharynx
In the case of children who have been absent for a period longer than 5 days, please inform us, if the child was absent for medical reasons, of the following:
- The disease from which the child suffered
- The treatment he was given
- If at the time of return to the community another treatment follows
Altered state throughout the day
If during the day, a changed state of the child’s health is observed, the parents are immediately informed by the medical assistant, and if the child shows symptoms of illness, he will be isolated until the parents arrive. Children who show symptoms of a potential disease or virus are not accepted in the collective, because they can represent a risk factor for the rest of their colleagues.
Children with allergies
For children with allergies, there is a special register, where the allergies and the methods of intervention in case of allergy are noted, as indicated in the medical documents provided by the parents.
Contagious diseases
If the student or any other member of the house where he lives falls ill with a contagious disease, considered dangerous for those around him, please inform us within 24 hours of its detection.
Documents required at the beginning of the school year
At the beginning of the school year and at the beginning of kindergarten / school attendance, the following analyzes are required:
- coproparasitological examination
- coprobacteriological examination
- pharyngeal exudate
- nasal exudate
- epidemiological opinion / recommendation from the
